THANK YOU…
Dear Fifo Team
We wanted to let you know how deeply grateful we are for your generous donations towards The Kvell Project and to highlight the lasting impact you have made . We are inspired and encouraged by your altruism, your faith in partnering with us and your belief in these kids as we journey together in impacting their lives on the Thai/Burma border. When we think back to the first year you supported this trip, we recognise that it was you that really helped to kick-start this whole process and what you have achieved is nothing short of monumental.
You have managed to take 24 children and 5 children’s home staff on a 5 day camp for 2 years in row, traveling a total of 2120+ kilometres and providing approximately 697+ meals. Alongside this, over these 2 trips you have given the children the opportunity to experience the wider world with 16+ life-affirming activities which include trips to National Parks, Elephant Sanctuaries and Museums, to life’s simple pleasures like a day on the beach. An escape from their place in the world as displaced people, truly a time to let the kids be kids.
It is such an amazing feat and has significantly empowered the children, embedding in them such unforgettable experiences.
We also used a significant portion of your donation to help furnish and repair the boys dorm to make it a place that was more like home, a little more brighter and a little more practical, with table and chairs to study on, relax and hang out.
We wanted to share with you a few pictures of the trip so you could get a glimpse of the smiles and laughs you have created.
These children have been directly affected by the longest running civil war to date. Thank you again for making them feel valued, loved and cared for. This could not have been done without you.
With thanks
Vy-liam Ng & The Whole Kvell Team
Boys Dorm - Children’s Home
With the funds you donated we managed to improve the living standards of the boys at the children’s home by turning their main communal space from a dark, bare room without a fan to a brighter, more welcoming and beautiful space, with sofas, study area and pictures. Whats amazing is that your former Fifo employee Abhi was on the ground building furniture and making this happen with us! Its amazing to see how close Fifo worked on this project.
